Select origin and destination

Define origin and destination for your international shipment by selecting available countries and cities in drop-down lists. If you need a pickup service at origin, then you may enter ZIP (postal) code of your pickup location in the next step.

Shipping FROM / Origin

This country/city combination represents list of currently available ship terminals at origin. Select one nearest to you.

You may either self-deliver your boxed goods to nearest terminal OR request us to pick it up at your door in the next step, by entering ZIP (postal) code of your pickup location.

Please notice the essential difference between origin ship terminals WITH or WITHOUT asterisk (*) as listed in our drop-down list:

Shipping TO / Destination

Goods will be shipped to a carrier’s receiving terminal (destination CFS) located in the destination city and have to be picked up from the terminal. Otherwise, you may conduct delivery of your goods to your door directly with the destination agent or use any local cartage company of your choice.

Select type of goods

Rates depend on commodity. Selection of incorrect type of goods may result to price change.

Do you need Pickup?

Pickup rates depend on type of pickup site. Selection of incorrect type of pickup site may result to price change.

Enter your ZIP (postal) code

If you request pickup service, then ZIP/postal code of your pickup location has to be provided in order to calculate pickup charges.

If your intended to self-deliver your boxed goods to an LTL carrier terminal in your area (i.e. to a terminals with asterisks in our origin terminals drop-down list, Akron, OH* for example) then ZIP/postal code of your cargo location has to be provided in order to find a terminal nearest to you and calculate line-haul charges.

Get total freight price on your shipment

You do not have to be precise. It is too hard to predict precise volume and weight of shipment at a time of booking. Actual volume and weight on your shipment most likely will differ from those that you had provided in your booking request. Later on carrier's ship terminal will define actual volume and weight on your shipment.

For more information please refer to our web page Dim. Weight & Freight Class on Pickups & Line-hauls.

Hazardous material

Hazardous material

Dim. Weight in lbs

Dim. Weight states for Dimensional Weight - volumetric standard instead of using actual weight. Used by LTL carriers in calculations of charges for inland pre-carriages to ocean carriers facilities (CFSs).

Dim. Weight identifies either you will be charged by space or volume of your shipment. I.e. pickup and/or line-haul charges will be based either on Actual or Dimensional weight of your cargo, whichever is greater. It calculates by this formula: Dim. Weight in LBS = LxWxH (in inches) :194.

For more information please refer to our web page Dim. Weight & Freight Class on Pickups & Line-hauls.

Density Factor

Density is weight per cubic foot. Density Factor is one out of four characteristics on evaluation freight classes when shipping NMFC (National Motor Freight Classification) rated shipments.

For more information please refer to our web page Dim. Weight & Freight Class on Pickups & Line-hauls.

Freight Class by Density

Freight classes are assigned based on evaluation of four transportation characteristics:

  1. Density - weight per cubic foot
  2. Stowability - including excessive weight and excessive length
  3. Ease of Handling - includes special care or attention necessary to handle the goods
  4. Liability- includes price per pound, susceptibility to theft, liability to damage, and perishability

Our system helps you to determine freight class based on density - one out of four characteristics. However, you should consider the rest of the characteristics and change freight class on your shipment if necessary.

For more information please refer to our web page Dim. Weight & Freight Class on Pickups & Line-hauls.

Change Freight Class

Shipper is held responsible on freight class declaration. Our pickup/line haul price quotes are based on the freight class declared. Declaration of incorrect freight class may result to price schedule change.

For more information please refer to our web page Dim. Weight & Freight Class on Pickups & Line-hauls.

For regular cargo self-delivered directly to ocean carrier’s terminal (CFS) weight, generally, is not a pricing factor

For more information please refer to our web page Dim. Weight & Freight Class on Pickups & Line-hauls.

Current Price

Rates change occasionally due to carriers GRI (General Rate Increase), BAF (fuel cost increase/decrease) etc. All rates are subject to confirmation upon a booking request and valid in 15 days after the day of booking request.

Minimum Charge

There is no minimum volume to ship. There is minimum charge on shipment. Ocean freight calculates based on total volume of cargo or minimum per shipment in USD, whichever is grater.

Per Cubic Meter w/m

W/m is the acronym for Weight or Measurement, which ever is higher. W/m presents cargo density limit. I.e. light cargo is charged based on measure, while heavy cargo based on weight. W/M may differ among carriers.

With ocean freight regular shipments most likely will not exceed the density limit. Most of the time W/M is limited by METRIC TON = 1000 KILOS or 2205 LBS PER CUBIC METER.

However depending on carrier and/or vessel w/m limits may vary:

- Short Ton = 2000 lbs per CBM
- 500 kilos per CBM
- “45 lbs rule”. I.e. 45 lbs = 1 cubic foot, etc.

The carrier should advise exporter about w/m limit in advance.

Ocean Freight

Base carrier’s price for shipping LCL freight from CFS (Container Freight Station or Ship terminal) at origin to destination CFS. In respect of our price calculation - rate for shipping boxed or crated cargo delivered directly to ocean carrier’s facility named CFS – Container Freight Stations.

Notice: In our origin terminals dropdown list CFSs DO NOT marked with asterisks (Atlanta, GA for example). Shipping directly from CFSs is the most economical way to ship boxed or crated cargo oversea. There will be no additional charges to take your cargo on board of vessel. Here is the list of most commonly used Container Freight Stations in the USA and Canada.

Ocean freight from CFSs calculates per Cubic Meter W/M or Minimum charge on shipment, whichever is greater.

MINIMUM CHARGE - Your shipment is not limited by volume. But it always has a minimum charge.

A minimum charge is the amount that will not go below regardless of volume of your cargo. For example: if you ship a considerable small volume with a total freight charge that calculates an amount below the minimum charge, then you will be charged the minimum anyway.

Often minimum charges are equal to shipping freight with the total volume of one cubic meter. However certain origins-destinations have minimum charges higher than shipping one cubic meter. You always see the minimum charge in our rates.

W/M - Weight or Measurement, which ever is higher. Find more about W/M and Cubic Meter in this link

Service Fee

Flat fee for the service provided.

Disbursement fee

3.79% disbursement fee on money transactions. Credits, transfers and merchant fees, messenger fees etc. $25 minimum.

How to know if a web page you are viewing is Secure?

Normally, when browsing the web, the URLs (web page addresses) begin with the letters "http".  However, over a secure connection the address displayed should begin with "https" - note the "s" at the end.

"https:" means it uses a security protocol SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to secure the information you send and receive. I.e. information that you provide, such as your name, e-mail address etc, is encrypted so other people can not read it.
